melissa bogusch

Melissa received her B.S. in Architectural Studies from UIUC (1993) and a
Master of Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin (1995).
She is a licensed architect in 44 states + DC and a registered interior
designer in the state of Illinois. Her 30+ years of experience in the
field have focused on commercial projects with an emphasis on interior
architecture.
Melissa is currently the Managing Principal | Architect of Record and
President of Whitney Inc. / Whitney Architects, Inc. in Chicago
where she leads a staff of 42 architects and interior designers in
developing responsive architectural solutions for the workplace,
building repositioning, and life science sectors.
Melissa is an advocate for women in the profession of architecture and
related STEM fields. She is a member of Chicago Women of Architecture,
having served in several leadership roles with the organization over the
years. Since 2014, Melissa has been active with the University of Texas
at Austin’s School of Architecture Advisory Council, of which she
currently serves as Vice Chair. Melissa is passionate about providing
encouragement and mentorship to anyone pursuing a career in STEM.
